Rectifier for Use with Electromagnets
All electromagnets require a DC power supply. Dings offers maintenance-free rectifiers for each of our electromagnet sizes. The Dings Rectifier is a piece of auxiliary equipment that supplies electric power to electromagnets. It converts the alternating current (AC) from your local power source to the necessary direct current (DC) needed by electromagnets. The rectifier consists of a hinged door cabinet and an internal assembly of electrical components.
Dings Rectifiers are available in a wide range of wattages to handle the power requirement of any size electromagnet. A rectifier cabinet can be selected in a particular NEMA enclosure rating according to the proposed rectifier location at the jobsite.
ELECTROMAGNET RECTIFIER FEATURES
- No maintenance solid state silicon diodes
- Overload capacity for short infrequent periods
- Voltage regulation within 3.5% from no load to full load
- Hinged door for easy access
- Protection from corrosion and extreme environments
RECTIFIER OPTIONS
ETL Listed Rectifier
Designed and built to conform to UL STD 508, is certified to CSA STD C22.2 No. 14 with CSA STD C22.2 No.73. ETL Listed rectifiers come in single or double enclosures.
Remote Door Operated Switch
This switch allows the operation of the rectifier remotely and is used if the rectifier is placed in a difficult to reach position.
Magnetic Starter
A magnetic starter is an electromagnetically operated switch that is installed inside the rectifier which provides a safe method for starting and stopping the rectifier.
Auxiliary Contacts
Contact block(s) that are added to a starter for allowing additional wired logic connections.
Auto Thermal Cutout
A heat-sensitive switch that automatically shuts off the system in the event of overheating and/or too much current in the system. This switch is used with the magnetic starter.
Manual Starter
An electromagnetically operated switch/relay that is separately housed to start and stop the rectifier safely.
