The Dings Ferroplate magnets are non-electric, flat plate type magnetic separators. They are designed to remove metal from processed powders and granular materials conveyed in chutes from the food industry. Some models (Hydro Hump) can be adapted to liquid pipe lines. Ferroplates are very flexible in application. It can easily be integrated into any conveying system and there is never any operating cost. Ferroplates have a high surface strength, which makes them ideally suited for rectangular, sloping chute applications (Dings has models for vertical chutes, round chutes or pneumatic lines and can customize mounted flanges and more to fit your specific applications), removing damaging metal and ferrous contaminants. These low-cost permanent plate magnets are widely used in many industries. Ferroplates are made of stainless-steel in several models that differ in magnetic power. Each is available in sizes to fix any chute from 4’ to 72” wide (Dings can custom design any equipment to meet your specific needs). Ferroplate magnets come in 5 different models – 2100, 2200, 2300, 2400 and the Ultimate. Depending on the requirements of your application, these models can adequately cover all chute handling conditions (for plate magnet applications). There is no limit on how frequently or continuously you can use a Ferroplate magnet.

Dry Hump magnets are specially shaped, enclosed chute type separators that have two Ferroplates on opposite sides of each duct. Ferroplates are mounted on the sloped surfaces in a hump. They are designed to direct flow of material in a vertical chute first against one Ferroplate, then against a second Ferroplate. The force of gravity can then work with the attractive force of both magnets – and that means the best possible separating action. Accessing the magnet faces is as easy as unlatching the hinged Ferroplates
